Soul Touches the Earth

I need the tree's, the plants, the flowers, the soil, the sun, the stars, the moon, the light it gives to open up my eyes. the mountains, the boulders, the rocks, the sand warms my bare footed feet. I walk naked across the desert into the canyons and cracks of the red rock temples that reach the sky and sing softly into my soul the songs are of peace and of stillness that calms me to the core my body sways back and forth... back and forth until i stumble and lay with arms out stretched feeling the earth, the warmth that it brings with eyes closed i hear the birds and the air flow together an unspoken hymn but yet a familiar tune, one that i know so well one that brings me back, back home where i belong, in the mountains - God's mansions, my home on the earth the earth touches my soul... as my soul touches the earth.

thoughts of today are simple. my soul aches for the earth to walk bare footed as stated above. i feel a warmth in my heart thinking of my travels. here i stand aching for the west. the east is full of craziness. i think of Buck Shot Betty from the Yukon, whom i met on my travels to alaska she said "everyone down there (speaking of the lower 48) are retarded, all that concrete and craziness has stunted there thinking" she has said it perfectly! alaska is EPIC nothing compares so far, nor do i think i will find someplace that will. however being in the east makes me want the west, being in the west makes me want ALASKA. it is a vicious cycle i am aware. so i have come to the same conclusion of yesterday, BE HERE NOW simple as that. so i am in north carolina working for andrew for a few months, then my feet will touch the red desert sand of southern utah again. PERFECT
