Pottery Class

sad to say my pottery class is all over, but look how much fun i had during it. i got to know the COOL STAFF at clay funk (hello everyone miss you already) and a really great teacher doris. not to mention gail and john my fellow class mates. the class was small which made it that much better, we had lots of fun with the clay and telling good stories.
this is the pant your hand wall in the party room. guess what one is mine??? yep that's right im the big blue foot. im the only one julie would let put there foot on the wall. i had to climb up high on a stool and stretched my leg up as high as i could balancing and hoping to not fall. the tricky part was once i was on the stool with a BIG BLUE FOOT how was i to get down with out putting my foot on the floor. TRICKY it was but with julie we managed.

coil pot... one of my favorites

everyone has to make a cool little ashtray right? WRONG it is not a ashtray just a cute little pot to hold earrings or something

happy day for andrew, i gave this one to him and told him merry christmas, guess im off the hook for him this year.

bicycles have no walls, ride your own adventure. i love this mug, one of my favorites for sure.

side view of the bicycle mug, the mountain to the left of the bike is also a women looking towards the sun watching over her love. (the bike and the land) just like me.

funky handle mug

okay every potter has to make a really ugly pot right? well this one is mine, it was bad from the beginning and just got worse.

my favorite bowl, perfect for a BIG BOWL OF ICE CREAM... oh wait im gonna stop eating that stuff, ahhhhh but it's soooo good. i found this strawberry ice cream out here that to me it is too die for. i love it and sad to be leaving it in north carolina.

this is lisa's new ice cream bowl, you cant tell from this angle but is is actually in the shape of an oval. happy birthday again lisa!

ahhhhhhh ohhhhhh another favorite, my winter mug. snowy mountains, from this angle it is day and as you turn the mug the blue gets darker and darker till it's night with a bright white moon. makes me want to snuggle up to the fire cuddling and drinking a hot tea.

pocka dot mug, fun times, sorry this picture is blurred.

this one was sooooooo ugly the first time i fired it that i ran it though again and now it's way better. the glaze did some really fun crazy things.

bubble bowl. to get the bubble look we (julie) and i took a little paint added a little dish soap put a straw in the cup and blew bubbles and then placed them on the pot. popped the bubbles fired the pot and waaaaalllllaaaaaa! a bubble bowl.

ooooohhhhhhhhh i love this one, can you tell yet that i loved my class i really am happy with all my projects. this one is my rock art matte mug. tried it out last night. PERFECT SIZE, and my matte tasted great.

what a beautiful plate. doris (the teacher) actually threw this one to give to me, i was sad because in the first round of firing the plate cracked, but then a great idea came to my head. use the crack for part of a tree. if you look closely at the right side of the trunk you can see the outline of the crack. it looks really cool in person it gives it some depth. now try and find the bird in the picture... did you find it. okay to be honest it was just a really thick branch but as michelle (my good friend from church) pointed out it looks like a bird flying off his branch. can you see it now?

my little shot glass. (sorry for the bad picture) okay not mine anymore. julie loved this one and always said it would go missing if i wasn't careful, no it didn't go missing it was my gift to julie. i don't know if she found it yet or not i put it in the fridge at clay funk for her to find next time she comes into the store. happy find julie, hope you like it. don't get tooooo tipsy
