well im back in good old southern utah, where the rocks are red and the sun is hot! man it is good to be home. i spent a few days first in capitol reef national park where elizabeth is a park ranger, on the days she had to work, i spent my time hiking and biking in this beautiful park. not to mention a few really good naps under a juniper tree. this picture was taken on a hike to the "golden throne" the view is amazing!

where i will be staying most my days in southern utah. susan richards yurt, i have decided to stay in boulder utah a town of 200 people (in the summer) for the next few months. susan is great, i have moved onto her property with out her even knowing it. (she is out of town for a month) hope she wont mind.
the moon over boulder, my view from the yurt
jesse and elizabeth had found this aspen tree with bear claws on it so i demanded that they take me there. it is on the way to chris lake up on boulder mountain. we found 4 tree's that day with bear markings. this is the most impressive one though.

there is beauty all around
an over look into escalante national monument. hard to see with the cloud coverage, but simply fantastic.
hells back bone over look. the rock that im sitting on drops off a few hundred feet, let me tell you the view is amazing, but i wasn't too sad to be back on solid ground. jesse on the other hand was running and jumping all around, it make elizabeth and i a bit nervous.
lower calf creek. MAJESTIC need i say more
a nice little, i mean big blister on my foot. i have only had two blisters in my life so i was dumbfounded when i got this one.

hoot yeah boulder!!! sure was nice to see Susan's Yurt and Jesse and Elizabeth! Say HI for me. Are y'all gonna be there in mid August?
