so i know you have all been waiting for pictures of my new place "the cottage" and well you are about to get them. first let me take you on a little tour to get to my place. after parking my truck and saying hi to Vosh the friendly neighbor alaskan husky i take a nice little stroll down the path which leads to the Barsh's (my, neighbors, landlords, and friends) and then to the cottage. first i pass all the little chickens and roosters that are pecking at all things, Mike (who is the biggest horse i have ever seen, the sheep, and Tumbleweed (the ass or donkey if you like that name better)...
... then i come to this tree (one of many) that is housed by TV's (turkey vultures) there are around 40-50 of these beautiful HUGE guys. they drop their features and i pick them up daily and put into a jar. after watching to make sure i don't get pooped on...
... i look across the wonderful green meadow of grass and small tree's (this is also the view from outside one of my cottage's window. sometimes the horses are brought into this area to eat on the yummie grass. Kristen (Barsh) told me sometimes the horses will come right up to the window and stick there head in, or walk right into the cottage. just be aware of that! i laughed...
...this is another view out the other window looking out to "the sugarloaf" as the locals call the rock mountain in the back ground. the Ryan's live at the base of it, it's about a four minute walk. well i guess it's time to show the cottage now...
...im home. isn't it lovely? i sure have enjoyed it this week, and feel blessed that i get to live here the next 8 months, maybe longer. i guess we shall see. well hope you all enjoyed your little tour to my place. by the way when the Barsh's are out of town (like right now) i get to do all the chores of feeding and taking care of all those animals. it's a good time. today i got three eggs from one rooster, some veggies from the garden, and a runny nose from the hay for Mike and the sheep. im really loving my time here. i feel like i have been learning the "old ways" I SMILE

What an awesome place. The walk to the cottage is awesome, the scenes from your windows are beautiful.

you know we are going to go slack-lining and have a home-made picnic in that grove right? just as soon as i arrive there!
