inhale...exhale...

resting my weary body on mother earth, i look up and watch the clouds pass by over head, i watch and wonder with amazement at how quickly life can pass us by. i lay and watch till the cloudy sky turns from one color to the next and before i know it the sky is dark and the stars are my ceiling. life is simply SIMPLE, or simply COMPLEX, what ever it is, it is. and in these moments i learn WHO I AM, and better yet, i learn WHO I WANT TO BECOME.

desires of my heart
turns my eyes
with outstretched arms
i reach
and grab
and hold
tight
tightly i hold
and close my eyes
and smile
and raise an eyebrow
and giggle inside
not wanting to let go
to leave this moment
i inhale
and hold
and slowly
ever so slowly
i exhale
calming my insides
and resting
my weary mind
i breathe in again
and exhale
slowly i open my eyes
to see
to see my reality around me
im blessed

im who i am
im the dirt under my feet
im the open sky above
im the air all around
