what am i really doing at school...

well a lot of you have been asking what i really have been doing at school, so i thought i would give you all a quick basic FUN update of my time here so far at the school. this was our first picture of all of us, on our first field trip to Capitol Reef National Park.
learning to straw weave in art class.

pe time. we did a variety of team drills. the little guys are always such a laugh.

yoga! we do a few minutes of yoga in the afternoons to calm the kids down after lunch. they can get pretty restless.

we did a obstacle course in pe one day. there were about 6 or 7 different things they had to go to get through it. bunches of fun

birthday times at school is a lot of fun. hannah turned 7

straw weaving belts are finished

the little guys had the opportunity to grow plants in their science class. most did okay, some though never made it.

working on our HUGE ART PROJECT

in october we had a drug free week. we taught the kids all about substances and the importance of staying off them. the sheriffs department came and gave a presentation as well.

"be drug free" not bed rug free as some of our locals thought it said. i told them, "maybe you have to be drug free in order to read it" they laughed

halloween, a super hit at the school. elizabeth and lars about to go into kings tuts tomb. lars was a fat fix it man.

michala and i about to touch king tuts foot. she was REALLY REALLY SCARED so i didn't blind fold her.

elizabeth and oakley in math class. looks to me like they are just clowning around.

the school photo on halloween day

elizabeth as a mummy

almost done

field trip to see some dinosaur tracks. look how BIG it is compared to lars foot.

our latest school photo.
well i hope that gives you a little update on what we do here for fun. im really enjoying this year teaching. mr roy is a great guy to work under. as well as the rest of the staff.
