the higher you get, the higher you get...

pioneer cabin, aaaahhhhh what a sight this place is, it is a wonderful hike (8 miles) the cabin is at 9460 feet and was built in the 30's for cross country skiers to have a place to sleep. the cabin is still used as a warming hut or a overnight spot for back country skiers and hikers. im hoping to spend a few nights up here this winter. it is amazing.
inside the cabin messages are left for hundreds of visitors i of course left my mark as well "peace-love-kombucha" (by the way leaving your mark is usually over rated)
really liked this quote "ive never had a dream in my life because a dream is what you want to do but still haven't pursued. i knew what i wanted and did it till it was done so ive been the dream i wanted since day one" awesome huh?
a few from the cabin door (see why spending some time here seems like a good idea)
coming up on the cabin
nice legs huh?
the wild flowers were out most of the hike to the cabin. you know ive been thinking... most of my travels include being out in nature, what if i were the first one in a area, would it have a different impact on me than knowing hundreds of feet have traveled this path before. i have been trying to imagine what it would be like to be the first. to be a john muir who came into yosemite valley to be one of the first if not the first to see what he saw. muir said, "climb the mountains and get their good tidings" and that is what i am trying to do

thank you mother earth
