telemark rice crispy birthday cake...

so every year for the past oh i don't know, i have tried to do something that i love on my birthday. im celebrating my 2nd anniversary of being 29. life is good. i woke up on november 25th with wrinkles but LIFE IS GOOD. i had a great time at work, lindsay had a lot of her roomies and family member call me. so the joke at the lodge was (every time the phone rang) "kandis its for you" which it was most of the time. i had about 20 phone calls that day. after work the gang got together and made me, well..... im getting ahead of myself.

first the birthday snowshoe hike. it didn't happen until the next day (which happened to be turkey day) lindsay and i went for a nice snowshoe hike in the morning. we watched the sun come up and glisten on the snow. God sure did a good, no, wonderfully great job making my playground. the morning air was crisp and the world was quiet. i loved it, plus i spent it with lindsay. (who by the way made a great effect to get here. she left logan utah, drove to her family's got in a car accident and still made it.) thanks mormon girl (lindsay) your the best. you win...

birthday dinner. i had requested pizza and a rice crispy cake in the shape of a telemark skier. and guess what. it happened. everyone at work is great. im so thankful that everyone on the crew gets along and has a great time together.

and yes the beloved telemark skier rice crispy cake. that was one of the highlights for sure.
chris (a lodge friend) said he would buy me a drink. so i mixed pineapple, cranberry, orange and apple juice together to make a wonderful creation. little did i know that too much juice mixed with all that sugar would kill my stomach. i spent a few good hours that night in stomach cramps, but oh well life goes on. it was tasty. (sweet shades huh) ((roy found them on the trail in southern utah and passed them my way))

well my birthday was great once again. (not to ever be confused with out doing my 30th) ((don't worry family NOTHING will ever beat that year in boulder)))
